“Murray” is a nice-sized 2 year old with a puppy-dog like temperament. He stands around 16 hands already and is nicely put together with a great temperament. He did not race but was in race training at Delaware Park where he had one recorded workout on 10/11/17. Murray arrived to After the Races directly through his trainer on October 30, 2017 and came to us with a fractured sesamoid. It was a mid-body fracture and minimally displaced. After two checkups here on the farm, our vet believes he has a good prognosis for a riding career, and even some jumping, once he’s finished his rehabilitation.
In the barn, Murray has been a great patient and well-behaved. He has no vices and I believe will be worth the wait for someone with modest competitive expectations or pleasure goals. He is RRP 18 eligible if the adopter is willing to get him microchipped through the Jockey Club.
Murray is not yet available for adoption but his status will change when he’s graduated to limited or full turn-out, so stay tuned!
