Slew is Due is a lovely 4 year old, coming 5, chestnut mare who stands over 16 hands. She arrived in January, 2018 by way of Second Call in Monmouth Park. She raced 6 times and retired sound with no vices after expressing her disapproval of racing by escaping from her pony rider before her last race, jumping the rail, and running back to her stall on the back side. She came from a very kind trainer who sought to do right by her and spent a couple months prior to ATR on a farm with one of his exercise riders where she was put to work. Reportedly she did very well on the farm!
We think this horse should be a serious contender for someone looking for a show prospect or active pleasure horse. She has no known limitations and had a straightforward vet evaluation. At the time of arrival she had a small cut on one leg and we took hock radiographs to be sure all was well so those are on file (all clean!). She sports a lovely build with a neck that ties in beautifully and a nice, free shoulder. In the barn she is incredibly sweet and well-behaved and really enjoys people. She has no vices.
Slew is Due is available for adoption for $1500.
