Description
Algebraic was adopted in December of 2023 by Allyson who is looking forward to enjoying him as a pleasure horse and possibly do some low-level showing. And he's staying right here in Maryland!

Original post:
Algebraic is a 5 year old, 16.1+ hand, bay gelding that came to us by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He is by Algorithms (by Bernadini) and out of a Seeking the Gold mare. He retired at the end of 2022 with chips in his knees that were removed surgically. He has since completed his rehabilitation for surgery and is ready to find his new partner!
Our vet was very pleased with him for his evaluation and thinks he can go on to do anything on the flat and up to 2' jumping conservatively to get from point A to B on a trail or have fun hopping over things at paper chases. His surgeon thought he could do most things outside of upper level eventing, but we'd love to partner him up with a home with modest expectations to set him up for the most success.
Algebraic has just been restarted under saddle and he is easy peasy. Lovely trot, lovely canter, and stands still and calmly for mounting. His gaits are comfortable and consistent. He's going to be a very amateur friendly horse!
Algebraic's only vice is that he does crib inside, but it is controlled with a collar. We have not had to collar him for turnout on good grass with a big group of friends. He's good for the farrier and good for turnout and leading. He'd probably even be a good candidate for field board somewhere with electric fencing if you're not a fan of putting a collar on him.
He's definitely worth it!
