Description
Breezy was adopted by Amanda in Connecticut in March of 2023. Amanda is a repeat adopter and is bringing Breezy along with the intentions of doing Devon in-hand and then bringing her along as a small hunter. I've already received word that she's settled right in and is an absolute doll to work with. We are not surprised!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Breezy Leigh is a petite, coming-3 year old, bay filly who came to us by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. She is a nicely bred girl, being by Twirling Candy and out of a Distorted Humor mare. She raced just 3 times and never beat a single horse! While that might be disappointing for her connections, we're thrilled she gets to retire early.
Breezy Leigh walked right off the trailer and into our barn like she's always been here. She's very sweet, curious, and nice to handle. She gets along great with the other horses in her field, both geldings and mares. We've seen no vices and have been impressed at every corner how lovely this filly is. She does have some warts on her muzzle that are a baby-horse affliction which will go away on their own in time.
She is petite, feminine, and so so kind. When we had an emergency her second day here, she was cross tied in a hurry so we could tend to another horse and she stood there perfectly still and quiet til we came back, and this was all just a week or so after her last race.
She jogged sound on arrival and she was very clean on her vet evaluation. She's since been a bit footsore in her left hind. We recently blocked to be sure and it is just her foot. She will be getting shoes on our next farrier visit if she's not adopted sooner.
I very much expect she will be amateur friendly.
