Charitable Prize is a 5 year old, 16.1+ hand, bay mare who arrived from Aftercare Charles Town. She raced her whole career of 4 races at Charles Town and did not break her maiden. She is by Charitable Man (by Lemon Drop Kid) and out of a Pure Prize (Storm Cat) mare.

"Charity," retired with a crack in her left cannon bone that should heal very well with rest and time. The vet at the track estimated 90-120 days to heal which would put her around August for return to work if she sticks to that timetable.

Charity is doing very well in her rehab. She's put on a lot of weight and has been very well behaved for her increased amount of exercise. Depending on the day she either goes on the walker for 40 minutes a day or goes out in the round pen with our companion pony and has been a very good girl. We expect she'll get re-evaluated soon to get more turnout.
