Description
Circle the Moon is a 4 year old, 16 hand, chestnut gelding who came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. He raced a total of 17 times with his last race in October so he came to us still quite fit and feeling good! Circle the Moon is by Malibu Moon and out of a Saint Ballado mare. This means he's a grandson of AP Indy as well! His breeding and early training were impressive enough that he once sold for $130,000 as a two year old.
Circle the Moon is a horse that will have no limitations on the flat and can likely do up to mid level jumping (Novice level eventing or equivalent), without any concerns. This means he'll be suitable for many if not most adult amateurs out there! There are changes in his knees that both the track vet and our vet weren't worried about long-term as long as he goes to an adopter with reasonable goals.
Circle the Moon is a very sweet boy who has been out with mares and geldings without issue. He has no vices and is very well behaved. He's had lots of time off now and is ready to go to a new home with someone that is comfortable restarting him themselves. We'll be getting on him once/if the winter weather ever gets us a break!
Someone looking for a future active trail or pleasure horse, that doesn't mind putting the miles on him themselves, would be a great fit for him. He can certainly be a horse to do paperchases, hunt, and do all kinds of fun things including jumping. We think he'd do very well with most adult amateurs with a trainer along the way, and will make a terrific long-term partner for someone!
