Description
Count Silver is a 4 year old, 16.3 hand, bay gelding who retired and came to After the Races by way of Aftercare Charles Town. This classy gelding is by Medal Count and out of a Silver Deputy mare. He never did race, but does have timed workouts in April which make him eligible for the RRP for those interested.
He did retire due to a tendon injury but is expected to have a great recovery in time, sped along by a Prostride treatment. Count has a nice temperament in his stall. He’s very friendly and loves being groomed. While on the hand walking phase of his rehab, he did require an advanced handler as he could be a little exuberant! However, he just got cleared for full turnout so we expect to see this energy come back down to a normal level.
He is a beefy young horse who will likely be massive once he finishes growing and filling out. He would make a gorgeous show horse one day! Even though he’s getting turned out, we expect he’ll need another several months of turnout before going back to riding. Our most recent ultrasounds are from July and are available to those seriously interested. If he’s not adopted beforehand, we plan to take new ultrasounds in September.
Count is available to the right home, willing to finish his rehab, for $1,750.
