Description
Deshackled was adopted by repeat-adopter Marie in October of 2022. Marie took him home not far away in Maryland and is hoping he'll be her next all around partner and best friend. We can't wait to see how he thrives with her.

Deshackled is a 5 year old, 16.1 hand, bay gelding who arrived in September by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He was a little sore after his last race and his connections decided it was time to let him move on to a new career while he still had a lot left to give. Since arrival to ATR he has been sound and just enjoying our usual 30 days of letdown time to be a horse.
This handsome guy was sold twice for $145,000 at auction and likely due to his fantastic breeding. He is by Shackleford out of a Coronado’s Quest mare which means he has Forestry, Unbridled, Forty Niner and El Gran Senor all in his pedigree.
"Lincoln" as we call him is incredibly sweet, kind, and easy to work with. He's good for the vet and farrier and has no known limitations. He has no vices, is front shod, and gets along well with other geldings.
