East Aurora is a gorgeous, coming-4 year old, bay gelding who came to us in partnership with New Start for Horses, based out of Penn National. He has unusual breeding for our area as he's by Yoshida (JPN) who goes back to Sunday Silence and some other great names if you go back far enough in the pedigree.

He raced 11 times and was in work through October. He reportedly retired with a suspensory injury but our vet only found an enlargement of a medial suspensory branch. He was sound and had no lesions in the branch on arrival. The most recent re-evaluation on February 5 found him still sound after an increase in exercise and he was cleared for turnout and then cleared to return to work in March!

Our vet does not expect him to have any limitations and he is ready to go back to work!

This horse is incredibly sweet, has no vices, is playful but good in turnout with other horses, and we expect will also be amateur friendly. He is available now to a home with experience restarting an OTTB themselves. If not adopted sooner, we'll have him in at least light work before the end of the month.
