Description
Jolie was adopted in April of 2017 by Diana and Mark over at the Amish Farm and House, an educational and tourism based facility in Lancaster, PA. We’ve already received reports that she has settled in and is delighting guests and employees alike. Her main focus will be adding to the farm experience for visitors but she will also enjoy light riding with some of the more experienced staff members. We think she’s going to love the lifestyle!

“Jolie” is a solid, 2005 chestnut mare that came to After the Races by way of Second Call in New Jersey. Jolie was a racehorse many years ago and then also supposedly has a history of being at a lesson barn for a while before a series of circumstances led her to end up at a livestock auction in January of 2017.
Luckily for Jolie, Second Call stepped up to pull her from the kill pen and now she’s going to get another chance at finding a long-term home. Jolie just arrived in early February after finishing up her quarantine at another farm, and on day one she proved to be calm, collected, and easy-going. She gets along very well with other horses and is a very nice mover. Our vet evaluation could find no soundness issues and she should be able to go on into just about any new career.
