Original Post:
French Nouget is a 9 year old warhorse mare that retired by way of Aftercare Charles Town. She retired after 51 starts and her intake evaluation showed a very sound warhorse mare with one big ankle, probably an osslet. She is in excellent shape and fitness and the vet expected her to do well in a variety of disciplines.
French Nouget is a Kentucky bred filly by Old Fashioned and out of an E Dubai mare. She's a very curious, quiet-minded mare. She loves to work and will happily bop around at the walk or trot all day. She's super responsive and straightforward to ride. She'll walk or trot over poles and small cross rails. Just a dream to work with and our director's unashamed favorite at the moment.
Frenchie would be an awesome horse for a teen or adult amateur who wants an athletic horse with all the potential in the world, but the sweet, affectionate temperament to be equally happy in those quiet moments grooming or just spending time with each other.
More than anything at this stage off the track, this warhorse mare deserves a little TLC in the form of chiropracty, etc to loosen up her pelvis. This can also be accomplished through lots of hill work and exercises, but we'd love to see her go to a home that will pamper her. She deserves it!
