Medford was adopted by Heather Ware in Virginia to join her daughter Brittany (who adopted JayEeeTeeEss) in riding. Medford is being used predominantly as a trail horse and low level flat horse and is much loved.

Medford is a 5 year old, 16.2 hand dark bay gelding with a lot of personality. He retired sound after his 21-race career but had some chips in one knee we decided to remove. Medford has done very well with his recovery and rehabilitation and was recently cleared to return to work.

Medford is well put together, classy, and has a great temperament and a personality that will light up any barn. He has no vices and gets along very well with other horses. While he’s currently sound barefoot, we will be putting shoes on him to start work and he will likely need to be maintained in shoes for most careers. We believe Medford would do well in a dressage home at any level as well as in a career with limited jumping.

Medford was adopted in August, 2015 by Heather Ware and her daughter Brittany. Brittany adopted a horse named JETS from ATR back in late 2013, and they decided it was time to add another to the family. This time around, the horse is for Heather! Heather is hoping Medford will make a nice trail horse, low-level pleasure and maybe even low-level dressage horse. We have all the confidence in him he will do just fine!
