Naked and Famous is a gorgeous, 6 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He has a big white face and a sweet temperament and is retiring after 19 races. This fancy boy is by Upstart and out of a Stormy Atlantic mare. He sold for $65,000 as a weanling!

This sweet guy retired with a very minor bowed tendon. He's since had the time needed to heal, along with updated ultrasounds to track his progress, and soundness evaluations all along the way. He's been sound since arrival and the tendon was already cold and it has healed very well during his time here. Our vet is very excited for his future as he should have no limitations long term!

Even though he's now turned out in a pasture with other geldings, he was always easy to hand walk and handle while in the more acute phases of rehabilitation. This is just to say he has a great brain and an eager to please personality.

The vet says he should be ready to return to work in April or May after one more ultrasound. This guy is very sensible, level-headed, and super sweet. He's one worth considering for the Recover at Home program if you have room and time to give one special horse!

Naked and Famous has shown no vices, is very sweet, and is not expected to have any limitations. Horses like him don't come along often!
