Description
Slewp was adopted by Laja in Pemberton, NJ to be her next pleasure horse. He went to his home in late August, 2016 and we are very happy they found each other!

Slippery Slewp is a very classy grandson of Seattle Slew. He arrived to ATR from Parx’s Turning for Home program in late April of 2015. Slewp is a 6 year old, approximately 16.1 hand bay gelding who raced 17 times. Slewp retired after bowing a tendon for which he has been rehabilitated well.
Slewp has a great temperament, gets along well with the other horses in his herd (mares and geldings) and is currently barefoot. He’s been doing great in his retraining and is a total push-ride with more whoa than go. He’s a volunteer favorite with kids and adults alike enjoying riding him around our fields. We’ve been aiming to transition him to life as a trail horse or pleasure horse as we think that’s what he’ll be best suited for.
Slewp will likely do best in a trail riding home or other low-level type home that will enjoy a nice, calm horse to pal around with on the trails. On the ground he’s pretty well mannered though he can be a bit girthy.
