Ulf was adopted in August of 2023 by Destiny up in Maine. Destiny is going to have her trainer help bring him along but is looking forward to having him as a pleasure horse and general well-loved family member for life. We are so happy for them both!

Ulf is a 4 year old, 16.1 (and a half inch!) bay gelding who came to us by way of Beyond the Wire in Maryland. This boy has a stunning pedigree being by Empire Maker and out of a Pulpit mare. As a weanling he was an RNA at $140,000, likely off that pedigree alone!

Ulf raced only 2 times. He unfortunately fractured a coffin bone in 2022 but we have radiographs that show it healed excellently well. He was able to return to training without any issues, just came back from his time off less competitive (slower) than his connections hoped for, so now he gets to move on to a new career!

Our vet didn't find any reasons to limit his future. He was a bit footsore on arrival but having his feet done has certainly helped with that. He's got a playful, fun personality, still trying to nibble on things like a youngster, but he really enjoys interacting with people.

Ulf gets turned out with all mares as it happens and gets along with them very well. He's fairly high up on the totem pole but not a jerk about it. He is not studdish or interested in them in that way at all. He has no vices.

This horse could be very competitive in the future, so if you're looking for something tall and sweet with endless possibilities for his future, this could be the one.
